Background

SATELLITE FARMERS LTD is a private agricultural Company located at RWAHI NTUNGAMO DUSTRICT in western Uganda with its headquarters in Kisaasi Kampala.

Our Company is undertaking a Hass Avocado Value Chain Development Programme with the central mandate of supporting the Uganda Hass Avocado Industry by promoting the supply of certified grafted quality avocado seedling, commercially viable growing of the Hass AVOCADO fruit for the export market.
Our main farm is located in Rwahi Ntungamo District with a Branch in Bulyankuyege near Bombo Wakiso District, where large-scale farming of the HASS AVOCADO Fruit is undertaken.

We as well carry out Agro Tourism of our farming activities that includes among others, goat keeping, coffee growing, Banana Plantation and the cultivation of various horticulture crops. The production, distribution and processing of avocado seedlings is undertaken at the site that houses the Tourism Facility by the names SATELLITE HOLIDAY RESORT and GREAT LAKES MUSEUM.

The Satellite Farmers HASS AVOCADO project is already facilitating the establishment of a Kigezi and Akole Avocado Growers Association to ensure quality of produce, and access to the export market.
